Our comprehensive screening process includes rigorous interviewing, a background and history check, and reference verifications. We want to ensure the caregivers we refer you to not only have the knowledge and skills to care for your aging loved one, but the right personality, too.
Referred Care Providers Can Include:
Companions
Companions are care providers that can perform basic, non-medical services. Companions are best for families or individuals who need some assistance and companionship to stay at home, but do not need extensive care or help.
Companions can provide services that include:
- Light Housekeeping
- Errands & Shopping
- Companionship
- Observation
Home Health Aides (HHAs) & Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
Home Health Aides and Certified Nursing Assistants, sometimes referred to as Nursing Aides, can help with hands-on care and activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming. Both CNAs and HHAs maintain a special certification and have graduated from a state-approved training program.
HHAs and CNAs can assist with many services, including:
- Bathing
- Dressing
- Personal Hygiene
- Meal Preparation and Feeding
- Incontinence Care
Registered Nurses & Licensed Practical Nurses
Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) can perform a variety of skilled services and can assist you or your loved one with treatment, instruction and evaluation of care on a regular basis. RNs hold either an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited program and maintain a current state license. RNs and LPNs are responsible for assessing and evaluating the care given to the patient, and reporting to the patient’s physician.
RNs and LPNs can provide nursing services in the home or in facilities, including:
- Critical thinking
- IV Push and Flush
- Assessment of wounds and condition
- Central lines
